Who is FraxTight best suited for?​

​

FraxTight is generally for anyone who wants smoother, tighter skin with minimal downtime and discomfort during treatment. With repeated FraxTight treatments, the result is comparable to Co2 laser and Morpheus8 treatments.​

​

FraxTight is less painful and has significantly shorter downtime than treatments like Co2 laser. Finally, FraxTight is the most affordable treatment.​​

 

​If you have noticeably aged skin with significant sagging and deep wrinkles, we are happy to offer you other effective treatments such as Morpheus8 and Co2 laser.

​If you don't need skin tightening but "just" want smoother and more even skin, we recommend the Pico laser treatment.

Treatment Process

​

The treatment takes between 30-90 minutes, depending on the area to be treated. You should expect to undergo 3-6 treatments. The treatment is performed with 2 different laser devices on the same day.​

​

​First, we tighten your skin (Tight) with a radiofrequency laser. This part of the treatment is completely pain-free. Afterward, a numbing cream is applied before we start the skin rejuvenating part of the treatment (Frax). The fractional laser (Frax) part of the treatment is not entirely pain-free, and each light pulse feels like a tingling warmth that burns a little for the next few minutes.

​You will be red and swollen in the skin after the treatment. This is completely normal and will subside within the next 1-3 days, though most people can easily return to work the following day. It is important to use sunscreen after the treatment if you plan to be in the sun. Otherwise, you should avoid all sun exposure for the next 3-4 weeks.

Treatment in detail

​The first part of the treatment uses a radiofrequency laser, where waves move between electrodes, providing a comfortable and warm experience deep in the skin's connective tissue layers. The treatment is safe and avoids the risk of burns or under-treatment. The collagen in the skin is heated to a constant temperature of 41-43°C. At these temperatures, no pain is experienced. The device uses temperature sensors and feedback control to maintain the warmth at these precise temperatures.

​The second part of the treatment uses a potent Pico laser, which works higher up in the skin than the radiofrequency waves but without causing wounds or side effects on the skin.

​

With Pico technology, the speed creates a "cold" mechanical effect on the skin (as opposed to radiofrequency, which heats the skin). The Pico laser uses ultra-short bursts of laser energy. These ultra-short energy bursts create micro-holes in the skin and trigger a tissue reaction. The laser's high-frequency light waves are absorbed into the skin and transform collagen and elastin. Immediate, subtle results appear—tighter, smoother, and glowing skin.

After a course of 3-6 treatments, you will experience a reduction in wrinkles and folds, as well as brighter, smoother, younger skin with reduced scarring. Skin texture irregularities will become more uniform, and the skin will be more tightened. After completing the course, we recommend one annual maintenance treatment as needed.​​

Can FraxTight be combined with other cosmetic treatments?​

​

The treatment can be used in combination with most other laser treatments, Botox, and/or fillers. Your practitioner will guide you on this during a free consultation prior to your FraxTight treatment.​
