Is anesthesia necessary?

After the treatment:

Immediately after the treatment, the skin is cooled, which both relieves any discomfort and pain. The cooling also helps reduce swelling and redness. You will experience redness after the treatment. This is completely normal and will subside within the next 1-3 days.

Your skin will heal over the next 3-5 days, during which you will experience dryness, itching, and mild redness.

It is important to use sunscreen after the treatment if you will be exposed to the sun. Otherwise, avoid all sun exposure for the next 3-4 weeks.
