FRACTIONAL LASER 1540
Fractional Laser Er: Glass 1540 nm – A Method for Skin Rejuvenation and Scar Treatment
The Fractional Non-Ablative Er: Glass 1540 nm laser is a revolutionary treatment that avoids a long healing period for the skin. The effect occurs through the skin’s natural rejuvenation process, as the skin cells’ ability to produce connective tissue is reactivated.
Fractional Laser Er: Glass 1540 nm is a gentle method (without damaging the epidermis) for skin rejuvenation and scar treatment. We offer this treatment at DermoCosmetic in Copenhagen, Skodsborg, and Aalborg.

-
Enlarged skin pores
How Does a Fractional Laser Er: Glass 1540 nm Treatment Work?
Using a precise pattern of micro-laser beams, slender microscopic channels are created in the skin. These controlled micro-injuries are surrounded by intact tissue, which immediately begins repairing the damage. As a result, the body naturally produces new, fresh skin. The effect includes cell renewal, significant collagen enhancement, and an overall younger-looking complexion. Additionally, skin pores and scars are reduced or completely eliminated.

Fractional Laser Er: Glass 1540 nm – A Gentle and Highly Safe Treatment Method
The Fractional Laser Er: Glass 1540 nm involves minimal intervention on the skin’s surface. This means that the treatment can be precisely targeted to the desired and specific area of the skin. The tiny laser microchannels are less than 1/10 mm in size. Since the laser is fractional, only a small portion of the skin’s surface is treated in each pass.
With the Fractional Laser Er: Glass 1540 nm method, the outermost layer of the skin remains intact. As a result, the skin is not open, there is no wound formation, and no bandages or dressings are required. This is classified as a non-ablative laser treatment.
Even with repeated treatments at high settings, serious side effects are extremely rare, making the Er: Glass 1540 nm method a very safe and gentle form of laser treatment.
How Many Fractional Laser Er: Glass 1540 nm Treatments Do I Need?
Typically, 3 to 6 sessions are required, spaced 4 weeks apart. At DermoCosmetic, this treatment is often combined with chemical peels or our Pico Discovery Laser.
For the reduction of acne scars, Fractional Laser Er: Glass 1540 nm can be advantageously combined with our Pico Laser for skin rejuvenation and peels. If you have both acne scars and active acne, we recommend Jessner Peeling for optimal results.

Temporary Reactions and Possible Side Effects of Fractional Laser Er: Glass 1540 nm Treatment
The fractional laser method may cause redness, warmth, slight swelling, or tightness in the treated area, especially in the first few hours after the procedure. Wounds are rare, but some individuals may experience dryness and temporary breakouts of small "pimples" for up to a week after treatment.
In very rare cases, the treatment may lead to unwanted scar formation. In extremely rare instances, tiny dots or skin discoloration at the laser entry points may be visible for several months before naturally fading.
Which Skin Concerns Should Be Treated with Other Methods?
If you have deeper wrinkles or scars and more significant skin changes, a fractional CO2 laser treatment, which we also offer at DermoCosmetic, is likely a better solution for you. We can provide expert guidance during a free consultation to determine the most suitable treatment.
