SCULPTRA AND RADIESSE TREATMENTS – FACELIFT WITHOUT SURGERY
Sculptra and Radiesse are both treatment methods that work by creating volume and stimulating the tissue to produce new collagen. Both methods function as "stimulators" for the restoration of lost volume. The result is a facelift without the use of surgery.
Only a few specialists are registered with the Danish Agency for Patient Safety to perform treatments with semi-permanent stimulators like Sculptra and Radiesse. We offer treatments with Sculptra and Radiesse at our clinics in Copenhagen and Aalborg.
Sculptra revitalizes and stimulates the skin’s collagen, building the skin from within.
Sculptra is an exceptionally effective injectable treatment. It is a semi-permanent stimulator. You will gradually experience your face regaining structure, volume, smoothness, and firmness. Wrinkles, folds, and lines are significantly reduced, and you’ll achieve a younger, naturally beautiful appearance. In other words, it is a facelift without the use of a knife or facial sculpting.
Achieve a facelift and reduced wrinkles and folds with the Sculptra treatment method.
By stimulating your skin’s natural collagen production, your skin gradually regains its fullness, smoothness, and vitality. Sculptra does not artificially replace lost volume but instead reactivates your skin, giving your face a natural, beautiful look.
What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is made from lactic acid, which is naturally found in your body. Poly-L-lactic acid in Sculptra has been used in surgery for over 25 years, and since 1999, hundreds of thousands of patients have been treated with Sculptra.
Several months after treatment, the natural level of collagen increases, restoring the skin's smoothness and firmness.
Sculptra is 100% biodegradable and completely disappears from the body as its effects gradually diminish over the course of a few years. Due to its natural properties, allergic testing is not necessary. Sculptra breaks down into carbon dioxide and water.
Achieve a natural reactivation of your skin.
As a result of the natural aging process, skin gradually loses its smooth and youthful appearance, and lines and wrinkles appear because the skin becomes thinner and looser. When skin loses its firmness and natural volume, we start to look older.
With Sculptra, this process can be reversed.
When can Sculptra be used effectively?
Sculptra is used to stimulate and build the skin from within. The method is especially good for deep scars and deep wrinkles, as well as folds around the nose and mouth, wrinkles and lines around the mouth, on the cheeks, and the chin. Sunken and sagging cheeks.
Sculptra is particularly beneficial for women over 50. However, in many cases, Sculptra is an excellent treatment option for those under 50 as well.
What makes Sculptra unique as a treatment?
Sculptra can best be described as a “stimulator” and “voluminizer,” as the treatment smooths out wrinkles and folds, allowing the skin to regain volume and firmness that it has lost over the years. Sculptra is therefore neither a traditional “filler” nor an implant.
What is the effect of a Sculptra treatment?
The effect of the treatment works gradually and provides a beautiful, natural look. The first visible results can usually be seen after about 6 weeks. Typically, 2-3 treatments are required to achieve the desired result. After the treatment, you will enjoy the results for up to 2-4 years, after which you can choose to continue treatment.
Is Sculptra the right treatment for me?
Depending on your individual circumstances and goals, dermatologist Erik René Obitz can assess whether Sculptra is the right treatment for you. In short, Sculptra is ideal for anyone looking to rejuvenate the natural structure of their skin.
Does a Sculptra treatment hurt?
The experience of the treatment varies from person to person. As with all injections, you may experience some tenderness. You might also feel a stinging sensation at the injection site. After treatment, you may experience swelling, and you might get bruises.
Is there a risk of side effects from a Sculptra treatment?
Sculptra is performed only by specially trained specialists, and therefore, potential side effects are very few. The most common side effects are injection-related, meaning you may experience tenderness, redness, swelling, and bruising around the injection site. These usually subside within 2-6 days.
More rarely, small lumps may form under the skin in the treated area. These lumps are rarely visible, but you may feel them by touching the area. The lumps can be massaged away and often disappear on their own.
The treatment must only be performed by doctors registered with the Danish Health Authority (Sundhedsstyrelsen) to perform this specific treatment and who have undergone special training in treating with Sculptra.
